The Town of Fairfield is located in Fairfield County and is bordered by Bridgeport, Trumbull, Easton, Westport and Redding. It is located along 5 miles of Long Island Sound and features 5 public beaches; Penfield Beach, Jennings Beach, South Pine Creek Beach, Southport Beach and Sasco Beach. Inland is Lake Mohegan, Fairfield’s only fresh water swimming area and sprinkler park.
In addition to the beaches, Fairfield is home to 36 playing fields, 2 golf courses, 2 marinas, 31 tennis courts and 3 picnic areas.
Fairfield is a thriving community and is an excellent place to live and work. There are 3 Metro-North Commuter Railroad stations…Fairfield, Fairfield Metro and Southport. This makes commuting to larger cities such as Stamford, CT and New York, NY very convenient. Also accessible directly to I-95 and Merritt Parkway (Route 15).
